Value Sources Sdn. Bhd. engaged Lambert Design & Build to undertake the interior design and renovation of its new double-storey office in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

The objective was to create more than a conventional workplace. The new office needed to provide an organised and professional working environment for daily operations while incorporating spaces for management, meetings, discussions, staff interaction and relaxation.

Design Concept – Modern, Fluid & Professional

The design adopts a modern contemporary language characterised by clean white surfaces, warm timber tones, deep blue accents and carefully introduced orange highlights.

One of the project's most distinctive features is the use of curved forms.

Instead of relying entirely on straight lines and conventional office detailing, curved plaster ceilings and curved built-in features were introduced to soften the interior and create a more fluid visual experience.

A predominantly neutral palette keeps the room professional, while perimeter ceiling detailing and concealed illumination introduce subtle architectural interest.

Natural light from the existing windows is retained, with blinds providing control when presentations or greater privacy are required.

Pantry & Staff Breakout Area

Rather than treating the pantry purely as a utility space, it forms part of the office's social environment.

Deep blue cabinetry creates a strong visual identity, while the dramatic stone-pattern surfaces used for the countertop, backsplash and island introduce a premium focal point.
