Project Overview

Located at The Clovers in Sungai Ara, Penang, this residential project involved a combination of interior design, renovation and customised cabinetry to create a more complete and functional home.

Lambert Design & Build's scope included interior design, electrical wiring, air-conditioning works, SPC flooring, painting, kitchen cabinetry, built-in wardrobes for all bedrooms, living-room display and storage cabinetry, TV cabinetry and other custom carpentry works.

The kitchen incorporated E0 melamine panels together with solid plywood and HPL-finished doors and panels, complemented by a quartz stone countertop.

In the living area, a combination of HPL laminates and fluted panelling was used to create a customised TV feature, adding texture and visual depth to the space.

Selected cabinetry was equipped with DTC soft-closing door hinges and BLUM soft-closing drawer systems, supporting smooth everyday functionality.

The overall project demonstrates how renovation works, interior finishes and made-to-measure cabinetry can be coordinated to create a cohesive residential environment.

Custom Kitchen Cabinetry

The kitchen was developed around custom-built cabinetry, allowing the layout and storage to respond to the available space and homeowner's requirements.

For the cabinetry specification, E0 melamine panels were combined with solid plywood and HPL-finished doors and panels.

Using made-to-measure cabinetry also allows storage to be planned around the actual kitchen rather than being restricted by standard cabinet dimensions.

The finished kitchen was complemented by a quartz stone countertop, creating a coordinated work surface alongside the custom cabinetry.

Quartz Stone Countertop

Quartz stone was selected for the kitchen countertop.

The countertop forms an important part of both the functionality and visual composition of the kitchen, providing a defined work surface while complementing the surrounding cabinetry.

Its appearance also works naturally with the clean lines of the HPL and melamine cabinet finishes.

DTC & BLUM Cabinet Hardware

Selected cabinetry incorporated a combination of DTC and BLUM hardware.

Display areas provide space for selected decorative or personal items, while closed storage helps organise household belongings and reduce visible clutter.

Combining these functions within custom-built furniture allows the living area to remain visually considered while still supporting practical everyday storage.

Custom TV Cabinet with Fluted Panel Feature

One of the key visual features of the living area is the custom TV cabinet and feature wall treatment.

The design incorporates a combination of HPL laminates and a fluted back panel.
